Changing your password is essential when using the DataSource application. Whether you created a password or if a password is assigned to you, it is good practice to change your password on a regular basis. Eventually, DataSource requires you to change your password every 270 days.
Note: If you have not logged into DataSource for more than 90 days, your login becomes inactive and you will need to contact the DataSource Help Desk for assistance.
Passwords are required to have at least eight characters. When changing your password, you are required to follow the password guidelines below:
Password must have at least four alpha characters e.g. Water123
Passwords must have at least one numeric value
Passwords can not have spaces or symbols
Must have at least 1 uppercase letter
No character can be used more than twice within the password e.g. Anaconda1 shows there 3 a's.
It can be a challenge creating a password when there are requirements to follow. The following passwords are not suggested to be used but provides an example in how to create them.
Part of the company name and street number e.g. Tyco10mainstreet
Pet name and description replacing vowels with a number e.g. R3aganisarat
Street name and zip code e.g. Coralridge33065
To change your password, click Account from the Navigation bar, and select the User Management tab. The User Profile section is displayed.
Click Edit User from the User Profile section.
The User Profile Edit section is displayed.
Enter the new password in the Password field.
Enter the password again in the Confirm Password field.
Click Save.
Note: Because you logged into DataSource, your User ID is displayed. Click the Rules link for more information on setting up your DataSource password.
