About Billing

The Billing section provides billing authorizers, administrators and users access to billing account details and payments. The user type will determine the level of  access you have. This section is used in conjunction with the Account section.

For more information about user profiles, see About the User Security Users Panel.

How it works

Once a commercial account initially enrolls into DataSource, the user automatically becomes a DataSource (security) administrator and a billing authorizer (using the same DataSource User ID). The DataSource administrator/billing authorizer logs into DataSource, has access to enroll and begin using the billing features through the Account & Billing  sections.

The Account section is used to enroll new billing accounts into DataSource. Once the DataSource (security) administrator/billing authorizer adds new billing accounts (monitored sites) for their company, they automatically become a billing administrator. Once a billing administrator is created, they can create other billing administrators and billing users to assist in managing the billing for the company.

The accounts need to be added to Account before the billing accounts can be assigned to a user profile. For more information, see About Account and User Types.

Go to the Account section in the main navigation and select Billing Users in the sub-nav.

Billing User Types

There are three billing user types in DataSource:

To search a billing user, enter the search criteria, and click Search. For more information, see Using the User Search Panel.

To create, edit, or copy a billing user, click Create, Edit or Copy. For more information, see Creating a User's Profile, Editing a User's Profile, Copying a User's Profile.

To view your billing account details, select the desired account from the Account Listing panel. The account details will be updated and displayed in the General Information panel.
